Great news! Our own Whitney Maymon, a licensed massage therapist who specializes in CrossFit athletes, will be upstairs at MPH THIS FRIDAY, June 11 from 11a to 2p to give massages! Please email her at email@example.com to get into her schedule, and see her offerings below! 25 Minute Recovery Massage ($45): Often used after athletic events to help "flush" the tissues, the goal of this session is to expedite recovery and reduce the occurrence of delayed onset soreness. Long, swedish strokes are used to increase blood flow and relax the nervous system. 25 Minute Specific Treatment ($50): A treatment designed to address a specific injury or problem area that uses deep tissue, cross fiber friction and trigger point compression to alleviate pain and discomfort. 45 Minute Prevention and Maintenance ($80): Ideally performed on a day of rest or before a competition or event, this treatment encompasses several modalities. It can be used to address specific muscular concerns, increase blood flow and relax the central nervous system. This treatment can be helpful, like daily mobility drills, with maintaining range of motion and reduced pain or discomfort. *All massages are performed on a table with athletes in appropriate attire. Please disclose relevant health history with the therapist, as massage can be contraindicated for certain acute and chronic medical conditions. No information shared during the session should be substituted for medical advice, and the therapist reserves the right to turn away any client who may require physician approval prior to receiving massage. Payment is due at the time of service and we are currently accepting cash and all major credit cards for payment.

6 AM Endurance. As most of you know the computers have been a little "Possessed" for the past week or so. The box is aware of the problem and we are working to resolve the issue in a timely manner. Tomorrow we will be doing the Crossfit Total. Please look at your past score before you come to class so you will know your PRs for the back squat, strict press and deadlift. This will save you a bunch of time and a big headache. See you in the morning. Scott

We are sad to say goodbye to the Merrell family, as they begin their new adventures out East. You have been an important part of our gym, and you will be sorely missed. As with most Marine Corps tours, we know that this goodbye is not forever, and we hope you know that you always have a home here in San Diego and at CrossFit Mission Gorge. Best of luck to Coach Jacob Merrell, Amy Merrell, Olivia, and babe! We love you and look forward to keeping in touch!
